Job description

Finance Analyst, Central Birmingham, £40,000-£50,000 This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and commercially minded finance professional to join a high-performing, fast-growing alternative lending platform at an exciting stage of its development. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the Finance Analyst will take ownership of a broad and substantive portfolio of responsibilities spanning loan administration, financial controls and audit support. Responsibilities Include: Construct and maintain comprehensive upstream and downstream interest schedules for the full loan portfolio, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all active facilities. Own and continuously update the charges register, ensuring all security interests are correctly recorded and reflected in supporting documentation. Maintain a detailed bank transactions tracker, accurately recording and categorising all movements to support reporting and the external audit process. Assist with post-lending monitoring across the loan book, tracking covenant compliance, key milestones and borrower obligations in close coordination with the origination and credit teams. Process supplier and operational invoices and manage the end-to-end payment run with appropriate controls and authorisation procedures. Proactively chase borrowers for scheduled interest and principal payments, maintaining a disciplined and professional approach to collections. Prepare detailed interest payment summaries across all loan facilities, providing an accurate and up-to-date picture of the income position at all times. Support the Finance Director in responding to auditor queries, preparing schedules, workings and supporting evidence in a clear and timely manner. Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial controls, processes and reporting frameworks Requirements: Part-qualified or fully qualified ACA or ACCA.
