Finance Assistant • Location: Belfast • Job Type: Full-time | Permanent | Office-based • Salary: up to £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience) Reed Accountancy & Finance are working closely with a reputable company based in Belfast who are recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join their team on permanent, full-time basis. The successful Finance Assistant will play an important role in producing accurate financial information while developing the commercial awareness, technical accounting skills, and industry experience needed to build a successful career in finance. If you're eager to learn, enjoy working with numbers, and want to make a real impact, we'd love to hear from you! Day-to-day of the role: • Preparing bank reconciliations and monitoring multiple bank accounts. • Weekly cash reporting with analysis. • Processing payments to suppliers and payment journals. • Reviewing finance agreements, drawdown of funds, and allocating to debtor ledger. • Accounting for hire purchase agreements, loans, and foreign exchange transactions. • Assisting with internal and external financial reporting. • Supporting the annual audit process. • Contributing to finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives. • Providing general support to the wider team as required Required Skills & Qualifications: • 2 + years experience in a similar role • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and good IT proficiency. • Strong communication and teamwork skills. • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop. • The ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
