Finance Assistant, £30,000, Harrogate
An established business in Harrogate centre is looking to appoint an experienced Finance Assistant. This is a great opportunity for a candidate local to the area who has experience in working in a small finance team and enjoys working in a varied and busy finance role.
The working week is for 35 hours/week with Fridays working from home.
Key Responsibilities:
• Invoicing tenants and customers on a monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc basis.
• Allocating and capturing banking transactions (Receipts and payments). Including saving and filing of all bank statements.
• Preparing and uploading of all supplier and payroll payments onto the various banking portals.
• Deal with financial queries, including payroll, payments, cash book, and journals
• Update and control the tenancy schedule. Ensuring schedule agrees to the terms of the lease agreement.
• Monthly recharge of all utility bills and ad hoc costs to tenants
• Ensure contract management schedule is updated based on the SOW.
• Reconcile certain supplier statements.
• Assist with annual external audit.
• Credit control for multiple companies.
• Monthly payroll processing (only if currently experienced in payroll)
• Supply information for accruals and prepayments.
• Deliver accurate and high-quality reporting while fostering effective working relationships within the finance team
Skills Required:
• QBE or a relevant finance qualification
• Prior experience working in a small finance team and the ability to multi task.
• Sage 50 experience and IT literacy including Word and Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Robust character with the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
