Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially focused Finance Business Partner to join a high-growth, private equity-backed manufacturing business in East Yorkshire. Reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with senior stakeholders across manufacturing, you will act as the key link between Finance and Operations, providing financial insight, challenge and support to drive performance across the manufacturing function. This is a hands-on role where you'll partner with operational teams, analyse production costs, improve reporting, and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and profitability. You'll spend time understanding factory operations, influencing decision-making, and ensuring financial information translates into meaningful business actions. Key Responsibilities • Monitor and analyse production costs, including labour, materials and overheads • Prepare management reports, budget analysis and variance reporting • Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities • Identify trends, risks and opportunities to improve operational performance • Manage inventory reporting and stock valuation processes • Maintain robust financial controls and support audit requirements • Partner with production, procurement and operational teams to improve business performance • Provide clear, practical financial insight to support decision-making across the manufacturing function About You • Qualified accountant (AAT, CIMA/CGMA or equivalent) • At least five years' experience within finance or accounting • Manufacturing experience strongly preferred • Commercially minded with strong analytical skills, including Excel and PowerBI • Confident collaborating with operational and non-finance stakeholders • Able to convert complex financial data into clear, actionable insights • Proactive, hands-on and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional seeking a highly visible role with genuine autonomy, senior stakeholder exposure, and the chance to make a tangible impact within a growing business.
