Finance Manager

Your new company A well-established SME construction company in Bristol is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee its day-to-day finance function. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective cash flow management and supporting the business with commercial decision-making. Your new role ? • Producing monthly management accounts and financial reports • Managing cash flow and short-term forecasting • Overseeing purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control activities • Processing and reviewing payroll information • Bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations • Managing CIS submissions and VAT returns • Monitoring project costs and supporting profitability reporting • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes • Maintaining accurate financial records and controls • Liaising with external accountants and auditors • Supporting operational managers with financial information and reporting • Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and efficiencies What you'll need to succeed • Qualified by experience or AAT qualified • Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Management Accountant or Senior Bookkeeper role • Experience within construction, engineering or a project-led business would be advantageous • Knowledge of CIS and VAT regulations • Strong understanding of management accounts and cash flow reporting • Good Excel skills and experience using accounting software • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently • Strong communication skills and a practical, hands-on approach What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
