Job description

Finance Manager - Contract - Glasgow (hybrid) - £800-£1000pd (inside IR35) My client requires 3x Finance Managers to join them in a finance transformation programme for an estimated 6 months. Based in Glasgow you will be required in the office for a minimum of 3 days per week. Working in a complex finance environment, you will be responsible for leading Record-to-Report accounting activities, taking ownership of defined close and reporting activities, and providing reliable hands-on BAU support during a busy period. Key Responsibilities: • Lead month-end, half-year, and year-end close activities. • Review and sign off key financial outputs, including balance sheet reconciliations, reporting packs, and statutory accounts. • Ensure reconciliations, supporting documentation, and audit trails are completed and compliant with Group policies. • Oversee governance activities and adherence to accounting standards and reporting requirements. • Support internal and external audit processes, including preparation of supporting schedules and documentation. Candidate Profile: • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, controls, reconciliations, and audit requirements. • Experience managing month-end and year-end processes within a complex finance environment. • Proven team leadership and stakeholder management skills. • Continuous improvement mindset.
