Finance Manager

Finance Manager Hertford Salary - £60,000 depending on experience. StormX Recruitment are delighted to be working with a growing business in Hertford to recruit an experienced Finance Manager. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is a hands-on role offering significant exposure to commercial decision-making, financial strategy and business improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and providing insightful analysis to drive business performance. Key Responsibilities • Ownership of management accounts, budgeting and forecasting • Delivering timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis • Building and maintaining robust financial models in Excel • Identifying business risks and recommending practical solutions • Supporting strategic and commercial projects • Managing and developing junior finance team members • Working closely with stakeholders across the business • Driving continuous improvement of financial processes and controls • Managing a small finance team About You • Fully qualified (or nearing completion of) ACCA, ACA or CIMA – QBE also considered. • Experience operating as a Senior Accountant/Finance Manager or as a deputy to a Finance Director • Strong commercial awareness and analytical capability • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling and data analysis • Proven experience managing and developing staff • Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels Package • Salary circa £60,000, dependent on experience and qualifications • Hertford-based role – office based 9 – 5pm • Opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and contribute to strategic business decisions
