Finance Manager

A growing and well-established manufacturing business is looking to appoint a Finance Manager to take full ownership of the finance function for a key business unit. This is a high-visibility role, working closely with senior leadership (including MD and CFO level), offering influence and the opportunity to drive financial performance and improve processes. The Role This is a hands-on Finance Manager role where you’ll be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, supporting operational decision-making, and ensuring strong financial control. You’ll act as a key link between finance and operations, providing insight and challenge to support business performance. Key Responsibilities • Own the month-end close process and produce monthly management accounts • Prepare and post journals, including accruals and prepayments • Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations • Deliver monthly flash reports and weekly KPI reporting • Oversee accounts payable, including payment run approvals • Monitor accounts receivable, identifying and escalating risk • Prepare quarterly VAT returns and support audit requirements • Assist with payroll processes where required • Partner with operational teams to provide financial insight and support decision-making About You • Qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) • Experience in a similar Finance Manager role • Background in manufacturing, engineering, or a fast-paced environment preferred • Strong Excel skills and high attention to detail • Able to work to tight deadlines and manage competing priorities • Confident engaging with stakeholders across finance and operations • ERP system experience What’s on Offer • Full ownership of a business unit finance function • High exposure to senior leadership • Opportunity to influence and improve processes • Competitive salary and benefits package • Hybrid and Flexi-time
