Job description

Robert Half are delighted to be partnering with an established international organisation to recruit a Finance Team Lead. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing finance function within a complex, multi-entity business operating across international markets. Leading a Record to Report team, you'll be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls and driving continuous improvement across key finance processes. This role offers an excellent blend of people leadership, financial control and operational improvement, with the opportunity to influence change, develop your team and work closely with senior finance stakeholders across the organisation. The Role You'll play a key role in ensuring the Record to Report function delivers an efficient, accurate and high-quality service across multiple entities while supporting ongoing improvements to systems, controls and ways of working. Key responsibilities include: • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing Record to Report team, creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. • Manage team priorities and resources to ensure consistent delivery across multiple entities and international stakeholders. • Build strong relationships across finance and the wider business, ensuring a high-quality service while identifying opportunities to improve processes. • Drive process improvement initiatives, helping to standardise, simplify and enhance finance operations. • Ensure Record to Report processes are well controlled, fully documented and aligned with agreed service levels and performance measures. • Maintain a robust financial control environment, ensuring compliance with internal policies and governance requirements. • Oversee the integrity of the general ledger, managing journals, reconciliations, accruals and period-end close activities. • Support statutory, regulatory and tax reporting requirements. • Partner with Finance Leadership and Internal Audit to strengthen controls and improve financial processes. About You You'll be an experienced finance professional with strong technical accounting knowledge and a passion for leading and developing people. You'll be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, international environment and enjoy improving processes and building strong stakeholder relationships. You'll ideally have: • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (or be a finalist). • Experience within a Record to Report, Financial Control or Shared Services environment. • Previous experience leading or supervising finance teams. • Strong understanding of financial controls, governance and finance operations. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • A proactive approach to continuous improvement and problem solving. • Advanced Excel skills and strong systems capability. • Oracle experience would be advantageous. • Shared Services Centre experience is highly desirable. • Additional language skills would be beneficial.
