Finance Transformation (Asset Management & Capital Projects)Location: Manchester (Hybrid - 3 days per week in the office) Salary: £70,000 The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Finance Transformation Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Asset Management & Capital Projects to join a major finance transformation programme focused on the implementation of SAP S/4HANA. Working within the Financial Reporting & Audit workstream, you will play a key role in supporting the redesign and improvement of finance processes relating to assets, capital projects and finance master data. You will act as the subject matter expert, working closely with finance teams, capital delivery teams, IT specialists and SAP implementation partners to ensure business requirements are accurately translated into effective system solutions. Key Responsibilities • Act as the finance subject matter expert for Asset Management and Capital Projects throughout the SAP S/4HANA implementation. • Work closely with finance, capital delivery and project management teams to understand requirements and design future processes. • Provide expertise across asset accounting, capital expenditure processes and finance master data. • Support the design and configuration of SAP S/4HANA solutions aligned with business requirements and best practice. • Perform gap analysis and help define improved future-state processes. • Support testing activities including Unit Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). • Assist with data migration activities, including cleansing, mapping and validation. • Work with SAP consultants, solution architects and developers to ensure solutions are effective and scalable. • Support change management, training and adoption activities. • Identify risks, issues and opportunities for improvement throughout the transformation journey. • Support cutover planning, go-live activities and post-implementation improvements. • Help embed improved processes across asset management and capital delivery functions. You will ideally have: • Experience working with SAP, ideally within finance modules. • Strong understanding of asset management, capital projects, fixed assets or capital reporting processes. • Experience supporting finance process improvement or transformation projects. • Ability to translate finance requirements into system solutions. • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across finance, IT and operational teams. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Experience of SAP implementation or ERP transformation programmes would be advantageous. • A professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent experience) is desirable but not essential.
