Financial Accountant

~~Robert Walters - Financial Accountant - Permanent - Hybrid - Solihull - £50,000 - £55,000 per annum~~ Our client, a well-established and growing organisation, is looking for a Financial Accountant to take ownership of financial reporting, statutory accounts preparation, and financial control activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to join a collaborative finance team, broaden their technical expertise, and contribute to ongoing process improvements within a dynamic business environment. Key responsibilities of the Financial Accountant: • Prepare monthly financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations. • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger. • Support the preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors. • Assist with the year-end and month-end close processes. • Prepare and review VAT returns and other regulatory submissions. • Support budgeting and forecasting activities across the business. • Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards. • Analyse financial data and provide insights to support business decision-making. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes and reporting. • Build effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Key essentials of the Financial Accountant: • ACA or ACCA qualified. • Advanced Excel skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
