Job description

Robertson Bell is delighted to be partnering with a large, complex and ambitious organisation to recruit a Financial Controller. This is a pivotal senior finance role, offering the opportunity to lead financial control across a dynamic organisation undergoing continued development and change. The successful candidate will play a key part in strengthening reporting, improving processes and supporting long-term strategic objectives. The RoleReporting directly to the Director of Finance, the Financial Controller will be responsible for: • Leading the month-end close process and ensuring timely, accurate management accounts • Owning the cash forecasting process and supporting treasury activity • Overseeing debt management and credit control • Managing the preparation of the financial statements and supporting the external audit cycle • Ensuring compliance with financial reporting and regulatory requirements • Providing leadership, guidance and support to three direct reports • Acting as a trusted deputy to the Director of Finance where required This is a hands-on role that requires a technically strong accountant who is comfortable operating across both operational detail and senior stakeholder engagement. The PersonWe are looking for an experienced finance professional with: • A recognised accountancy qualification • Strong experience in financial control, month-end and year-end processes • Excellent cash forecasting and treasury knowledge • Proven leadership and people management skills • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across a large organisation • Experience of working in a complex, regulated or multi-site environment would be beneficial The ideal candidate will be commercially minded, highly credible and confident working in a fast-moving environment.
