Private Client Planner Chartered Financial Planner | Client-Centric Advisory Role Are you an experienced Chartered Financial Planner who thrives on deep client relationships, technical excellence and delivering outstanding ongoing advice? An established, values-led financial planning firm is seeking a Private Client Planner to play a pivotal role within a close-knit advisory team (pods). This role is designed for a senior planner who enjoys long-term client stewardship, strategic financial planning and shared accountability with colleagues. You will take a lead role in shaping and delivering sophisticated, holistic financial planning solutions, working closely with fellow planners and support professionals to ensure exceptional outcomes for clients and sustainable growth for the team. Trusted Client Relationships • Build, nurture and maintain long-term client relationships through proactive, high-touch service • Combine technical precision with emotional intelligence to earn trust and inspire confidence • Identify planning opportunities and generate referrals through the strength of client relationships Holistic & Strategic Financial Planning • Deliver lifestyle-led, holistic financial planning tailored to clients’ long-term goals • Provide strategic oversight using complex cashflow modelling and clear articulation of investment philosophy • Advise across retirement planning, tax efficiency, estate and succession planning, protection, investments and behavioural risk • Implement and maintain appropriate planning structures, including trusts and corporate solutions Technical Excellence & Governance • Analyse existing arrangements to identify risks, opportunities and planning efficiencies • Research, justify and implement suitable advice solutions supported by high-quality suitability reports • Work collaboratively with paraplanning, technical and compliance colleagues • Maintain accurate, compliant records in line with regulatory standards Experience & Qualifications • Chartered Financial Planner status • Significant experience in an ongoing, servicing-focused advisory role • Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, tax and estate planning • Advanced cashflow modelling experience (e.g. Voyant, Truth, CashCalc or similar) • Proven track record of long-term client retention and referral generation Salary, Benefits & Working Pattern • Salary: Up to £100,000 • Pension: • 5% employer contribution (increasing to 7.5% after 5 years’ service) • 5% employee contribution after 3 months’ service • Payable to a platform pension or NEST • Death in Service:4x annual salary • Private Medical Insurance • Income Protection: • 75% of salary (currently being introduced) • Holiday: • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays • Office closes between Christmas and New Year (3 days deducted from entitlement) • An additional day accrued after 5 years’ service, increasing to 30 days after 10 years • Hours: • 9:00am – 5:00pm with a 30-minute lunch break • Working Pattern: • Full-time, office-based during probation (6 months) • Post-probation: 3 days office-based, 2 days working from home, aligned with client meetings (predominantly in person) Please apply below if you feel this is your next step, and would like more information on the firm and role.
