Job description

We are hiring for a hugely successful, global Venture Capital fund manager in central London. This is a role covering maternity and will be a for a 12 month engagement. The focus of the role is on the financial reporting for a number of group entities. You will be a fully qualified accountant with hands-on experience of preparing or auditing financial statements. Your background will likely come from an audit firm where you have worked with regulated entities or from the wider financial services sector, ideally within the private equity or venture capital sectors. The Role • Review year-end financial statements for and multiple entities across multiple jurisdictions. • Act as a key point of contact for administrators, managing audit timetables, information requests and query resolution. • Assist with tax compliance, including FATCA/CRS reporting, K-1/K-3 preparation support and W-form validation. • Assist with the coordination of statutory filing deadlines across the group's entities. • Prepare audit files and supporting schedules, ensuring documentation is complete, accurate and ready for review. • Perform balance sheet reviews and reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies. • Carry out internal control reviews and testing, identifying and following up on process gaps. • Review journal entries, accruals and provisions for accuracy prior to reporting deadlines. • Liaise with fund administrators, auditors and other external advisers on reporting and audit matters. • Contribute to process improvements across year end and reporting workflows. Requirements • You must be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, CA, CPA, ACCA) • Have some post qualified experience (ideally 2-3 years) • Have been auditing and/or preparing financial accounts for similar firms • Working in the Venture Capital or the wider private markets industry in a corporate or group accounting role • Be available from September for a 12 month period • Be based in the UK and not requiring any form of sponsorship • This role will pay a competitive market salary together with a completion bonus
