Financial Risk Analyst

Interested in moving beyond traditional actuarial work and into a broader risk role? We're partnering with a specialist life insurer looking to hire a Financial Risk Analyst to join its second-line risk function, working closely with senior risk and investment stakeholders across the business. What You'll Be Doing • Provide oversight and challenge across credit risk, ALM and investment activities • Support risk review of BPA transactions, reinsurance arrangements and strategic initiatives • Monitor financial risks and contribute to risk reporting for senior committees • Support ORSA production and wider Solvency UK activities • Participate in internal model validation and risk framework development • Work directly with senior stakeholders across risk, actuarial and investment teams About You • Part-qualified actuary or actuarial professional • Background in life insurance, investments, pensions or financial risk • Good understanding of credit risk, ALM or investment risk • Knowledge of the UK regulatory environment • Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide constructive challenge • Curious, proactive and keen to broaden your risk expertise Why Join? • Broad exposure across financial, actuarial and enterprise risk • Opportunity to work closely with senior leadership • Involvement in BPA, reinsurance and strategic business initiatives • Excellent platform for developing a long-term risk career • Hybrid working and collaborative culture This is a fantastic opportunity for an actuary or risk professional looking to build expertise across credit, capital and investment risk while gaining visibility across a wide range of strategic business decisions.
