Job description

We have an opportunity for a Fire and Life Safety Systems Engineer to join us at Honeywell, in Cambridge, where you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, commissioning, fault finding on Fire systems on our customer sites, be the first line escalation for GENT supported products and provide effective repair as required. This is a fixed site role working on our customer site Monday to Friday with an call rota for out of hours support. Key responsibilities • Day to day servicing, calibrations and maintenance; including diagnoses and repairs faults on a variety of Honeywell and 3rd party equipment • Commissioning & Programming the setup and software configuration of Gent Vigilon systems • Identify opportunities for system improvements and provide prices for Small Works Quotes • Ensure customer satisfaction through direct liaison with client representatives, customers and service recipients whilst delivering a valuable and professional service • Report possible future failures, disturbances and other opportunities for improvement Key skills and qualifications • Previous experience within fire systems service engineering undertaking regular preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, effective repair and commissioning of additions or alterations of systems • Deep working knowledge of BS 5839-1 (Install, Commission, and Maintenance) • Commissioning and maintenance of items such as Aspirating Smoke Detection, Emergency Voice Communication System (EVCS) and Public Address and Voice Alarm (PAVA) systems • Familiarity with Health & Safety regulations and the ability to work within customer-controlled environments. • Knowledge and experience within Honeywell Fire systems and products such as GENT would be advantageous for this role Our offer • Market specific training and on-going personal development • Competitive salary and generous benefits • Reward scheme for successful upselling of products and services • Work for a well-known brand with a continued focus on innovation and growth We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
