Job Advert: Food Technology HLTA / SEN Cover Supervisor - Lead Learning in Doncaster Schools Company: Academics Agency (Acting as an Employment Agency) Role Type: Temporary, Term-Time Only (Monday - Friday) Location: Across SEN and Mainstream Schools in Doncaster Pay Rate: £92.56 - £110 per day (includes holiday pay; higher rates based on experience, qualifications, and client budget) Are you a skilled Food Technology specialist with HLTA status, looking to inspire students both in the kitchen and across the wider curriculum? Academics is seeking a confident and versatile Food Tech HLTA / SEN Cover Supervisor to work across our partner SEN and mainstream schools in Doncaster. This is a unique opportunity to combine your practical catering expertise with whole-class teaching, while making a real difference to students with additional needs. What You'll Be Doing: • Leading whole-class teaching and covering PPA time, including delivering engaging Food Technology lessons that build practical life skills. • Stepping in to cover pre-planned lessons across other subjects during teacher absence, ensuring continuity of learning. • Delivering targeted SEN interventions and adapting Food Tech resources to meet the needs of pupils with EHCPs - working closely with SENCOs to track progress and remove barriers to learning. • Promoting health, safety, and hygiene in practical settings, while fostering independence and creativity in the kitchen.
