Job description

Forklift Operator / Warehouse Operative Location: Hoddesdon Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:45 PM Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent Role Purpose To safely operate forklifts to unload incoming deliveries (approx. 6 lorries per day), while supporting warehouse production and operational activities throughout the shift. Key Responsibilities Forklift Operations • Unload up to 6 lorries daily • Ensure all goods are handled safely and efficiently • Accurately check deliveries against paperwork • Report any damages, shortages, or discrepancies immediately • Store stock in designated warehouse locations Warehouse Production Support • Support production operations outside of unloading times • Picking, packing, and preparing goods for dispatch • Assisting with labelling, assembly, or processing tasks • Helping maintain productivity across the warehouse General Warehouse Duties • Maintain a clean and organised working environment • Follow all health & safety regulations • Perform daily forklift checks and report any issues • Assist with stock counts and inventory control • Work collaboratively with the wider team Skills & Requirements • Valid Forklift Licence (Counterbalance and/or Reach preferred) • Previous experience in a warehouse environment • Good understanding of health & safety • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented • Flexible approach to work and tasks Key Expectations • Efficient unloading • High levels of accuracy and care • Ability to multitask between forklift use and production duties • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment Adecco acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
