Fork Lift Driver / Warehouse and Yard Operative • Annual Salary: £13.50 - £13.80 per hour/ £28k-£33k • Location: Abingdon • Job Type: Full-time 9/10AM-7PM (Part-time hours Available) Join a well-established freight forwarding agency with a 50-year history, part of the Pallet Track network, known for delivering excellent and flexible services to customers. We are seeking a skilled Fork Lift Driver / Warehouse and Yard Operative to play a key role in our operations. Day-to-day of the role: • Operate Counterbalance FLT and Reach Fork, with a focus on safety and efficiency. • Prepare vehicles for unloading and loading, handling Double Deck, Straight Frame, and Rigid vehicles. • Play a crucial role in the loading and unloading procedures, ensuring smooth operations. • Work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team. • Ensure the safe movement of pallets and other materials within the yard. • Maintain cleanliness and order in the yard and surrounding areas. • Utilise hand-held scanners for tracking positions of consignments held at the depot. • Conduct daily safety checks on FLT to ensure operational safety. • Adhere to driver regulations and health & safety standards. • Report directly to the Line Manager, and communicate any issues, complaints, or damages promptly. • Liaise with the operations team for guidance and resolution of issues. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Minimum of 2 years’ experience operating Counterbalance FLT and Reach Fork. • Proven ability to handle various types of vehicles in a warehouse setting. • Strong team player with excellent communication skills. • Commitment to maintaining high safety and cleanliness standards. • Proficient in using technology for inventory tracking.
