Forklift Operator

Job Title Cold Store Truck Operative (PB1) Department Cold Store Location Avonmouth, Bristol Reports to Cold Store Manager Grade 3 Works for Cold Store Manager Main Objective To assist in the day-to-day operations of the cold storage facility, whilst utilising a lift truck, in support of the Company's business plan, quality standards and operational objectives. Duties and responsibilities 1  Lift Truck Operation • Operate a lift truck (where certified) to handle and move frozen product safely and efficiently. • Support day-to-day operations through the secure transportation of goods within the facility. 2  Product Handling & Storage • Assist with the loading, unloading, and storage of frozen product in line with established procedures. • Maintain accurate stock handling practices to support inventory control. 3  Facility & Equipment Support • Contribute to the upkeep of the facility and its equipment, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices. • Identify and report any maintenance or safety issues as they arise. 4  Compliance & Procedures • Follow all operational procedures and stock control measures in accordance with Health and Safety standards. • Ensure that tasks are carried out with attention to quality, hygiene, and workplace safety. 5  Other Duties • Carry out any other tasks as required, consistent with the responsibilities of the role. Pre-existing skills required Experience in warehouse and distribution environments. Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
