Forward Deployment Engineer - Inside IR35

Forward Deployed Engineer (AI & Agentic Systems) £650 per day Inside IR35 6-Month Contract Hybrid - 1 day per week in the City of London We're looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to join a fast-moving technology team building next-generation AI and agentic analytics solutions. This is a hands-on role for an engineer who can rapidly turn ideas into working software, helping prove where AI can deliver real value across a complex enterprise environment. What You'll Be Doing • Rapidly prototype, build and validate new AI-driven solutions, taking concepts from idea to working demo in days. • Develop components using LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering and modern agent frameworks. • Work closely with architects, product leaders and engineers to de-risk emerging technologies and shape future solutions. • Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to accelerate delivery and experimentation. • Integrate solutions with existing platforms built on C#/.NET, Angular and Python. What We're Looking For • Strong software engineering experience with C#/.NET Core, Angular/TypeScript and Python. • Practical experience working with AI technologies including LLMs, RAG, agent frameworks and prompt engineering. • A track record of rapidly building prototypes, MVPs and proof-of-concepts. • Experience within insurance, reinsurance, risk analytics or financial services environments. • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitHub and Agile delivery practices. Desirable • Experience taking AI solutions into production environments. • Azure cloud and containerisation experience. • Exposure to analytics, modelling or data-intensive platforms.
