Job description

Our client, a well-established international logistics business, is seeking an International Freight Operations Coordinator to join their friendly and supportive team. This is a varied position that will involve supporting international freight operations, including import and export documentation, customs processes, shipment coordination, customer reporting, and general operational administration. The business is open to considering candidates with export experience who are looking to develop their skills across a broader logistics and freight operations function over time. Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm Benefits to include: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and the chance to work within a small, friendly, and fun team environment. Key Responsibilities • Prepare and manage export documentation for international shipments. • Complete customs entries accurately and in accordance with current regulations. • Liaise with carriers, customs authorities, and third-party providers to ensure shipments move efficiently and compliantly. • Produce KPI packs and operational performance reports. • Support the day-to-day coordination of international freight movements. • Respond to customer and supplier enquiries via telephone and email. • Maintain accurate operational records and documentation. • Provide general administrative support to the International Operations team. • Assist with both import and export activities as required. Skills & Experience Required • Previous experience within freight forwarding, logistics, customs, or international operations. • Experience completing customs entries is essential. • Experience preparing export documentation for international shipments. • Good understanding of international shipping processes and customs requirements. • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. • Excellent communication and customer service skills. • Ability to prioritise tasks, work independently, and manage workloads effectively. • Positive, proactive, and eager to develop.
