Freight Sales Executive

Our client, a freight forwarder is looking for a Freight Sales Executive to join their office in Basildon. Role OverviewWe are seeking an ambitious, self-motivated Sales Executive to drive business growth by identifying new opportunities, developing strong customer relationships and promoting the clients comprehensive range of international freight forwarding services. Key Responsibilities • Generate new business through prospecting, networking, referrals and lead generation. • Build and maintain long-term client relationships. • Sell import and export sea freight, air freight, customs clearance, warehousing and logistics solutions. • Prepare quotations and negotiate profitable business. • Achieve sales targets and KPIs. • Maintain CRM records, sales pipeline and management reports. • Support Operations during busy periods and ensure smooth customer handovers. • Communicate effectively with customers, overseas agents and internal departments. • Identify cross-selling opportunities and maximise customer retention. Skills & Experience • Freight forwarding sales experience. • Knowledge of import/export sea freight and air freight. • Excellent communication and negotiation skills. • Proven business development and relationship-building ability. • Commercially aware and target driven. • Knowledge of Incoterms and customs procedures desirable.
