Mechanical Fitter £17 per hour rising to £18.79 after 12 weeks | 6 month contract Burton upon Trent Days only with early Friday finish Hours: 07:00 to 16:00 Monday to Thursday 07:00 to 13:00 Friday The Role We are recruiting a Mechanical Fitter to support a busy Fuel Shop operation based in Burton upon Trent. This is a hands on position within a regulated engineering environment, focused on the inspection, installation, testing, fault finding and maintenance of fuel systems and associated test equipment supporting engine testing activity. Key Duties • Fault find and diagnose fuel system issues linked to testing operations • Install, inspect and repair fuel systems and associated components • Test fuel pumps and injectors, accurately recording results • Carry out routine and preventative maintenance on test rigs Essential Skills • Experience working in a fast paced, deadline driven engineering environment • Good knowledge of fuel system components including pumps and injectors • Clear focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement Desirable • Background in rail or automotive environments • Experience working in regulated or safety critical settings Why Apply This role is ideal for a Mechanical Fitter looking for stable day shifts, a competitive hourly rate and an early Friday finish while working for a respected engineering business.
