We are looking for a passionate and supportive Functional Skills Maths & English Tutor to provide one-to-one tuition?

You'll be working closely with one student, providing personalised support in Maths and English and helping them to build both their academic skills and confidence.
What You'll Be Doing
• Deliver engaging, one-to-one Functional Skills Maths and English tuition.
• Support a student with an EHCP, adapting lessons to their individual needs.
• Create personalised and engaging lesson plans that target learning gaps.
• Use your teaching expertise to make lessons accessible, encouraging and enjoyable.
• Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Build the student's confidence, motivation and independence in Maths and English.
• Create a positive learning environment where the student feels supported and able to succeed.
We're Looking For Someone Who Has
• At least 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience in Functional Skills Maths and / or English.
• Experience supporting students with SEN.
• A patient, encouraging and adaptable approach to teaching.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to tailor lessons to individual learning needs.
• The right to work in the UK.
• An Enhanced DBS check, or willingness to undertake one.
Desirable Experience & Qualifications
• QTS
• Experience working with young people with EHCPs.
• Experience delivering Functional Skills or targeted Maths and English intervention.
• Experience working in SEN, alternative provision or one-to-one tuition.
