You'll be working closely with one student, providing personalised support in Maths and English and helping them to build both their academic skills and confidence. What You'll Be Doing • Deliver engaging, one-to-one Functional Skills Maths and English tuition. • Support a student with an EHCP, adapting lessons to their individual needs. • Create personalised and engaging lesson plans that target learning gaps. • Use your teaching expertise to make lessons accessible, encouraging and enjoyable. • Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback. • Build the student's confidence, motivation and independence in Maths and English. • Create a positive learning environment where the student feels supported and able to succeed. We're Looking For Someone Who Has • At least 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience in Functional Skills Maths and / or English. • Experience supporting students with SEN. • A patient, encouraging and adaptable approach to teaching. • Strong communication skills and the ability to tailor lessons to individual learning needs. • The right to work in the UK. • An Enhanced DBS check, or willingness to undertake one. Desirable Experience & Qualifications • QTS • Experience working with young people with EHCPs. • Experience delivering Functional Skills or targeted Maths and English intervention. • Experience working in SEN, alternative provision or one-to-one tuition.
