Functional Skills Tutor Job Details We're looking for experienced and engaging Functional Skills Tutors to support children and young people across Hampshire on a 1:1 basis. Working alongside Local Authorities, you'll provide tailored support to learners who require alternative educational provision, helping them develop essential skills in English and Maths while building confidence and engagement with learning. Many students may have additional needs such as ASD, SEMH, ADHD, anxiety, school avoidance, or EHCPs, requiring a flexible and personalised approach. • Location: Hampshire • Hours: Flexible • Start Date: September 2026 • Type: 1:1 Functional Skills Tuition • Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour Requirements • Minimum 6 months' experience working in an educational setting • Experience delivering or supporting Functional Skills English and/or Maths • Ability to adapt sessions to individual learning needs • Experience supporting learners with SEND or additional needs is desirable • Strong communication and relationship-building skills • Patient, reliable, and engaging approach • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
