Job description

The post holder is required to ensure that a high standard of teaching and learning is delivered in the classroom, making reasonable adjustments as necessary to meet learners current needs and academic level and maintain consistency of teaching and learning across their lessons. A core scheme of work is delivered however, planning of teaching learning and assessment to ensure compliance with Awarding Organisation and consideration of individual learner needs is required. The post holder will follow the college policy and processes to ensure that documents, systems and processes to track progress of learners is followed and up to date. The postholder will plan, teach and evaluate learning as agreed with the Education Quality Assurance Manager to agreed Ofsted and Department for Education policy and standards, and to meet the highest levels of quality in the teaching and learning of learners. This post holder manages their learning support assistant to ensure that their practice meets the requirements of the learners within the classroom. The post holder is part of the regional team which is managed by the Regional Mnager. However; the Education Quality Assurance manager will support and ensure that compliance with quality and teaching learning and assessment is in place. All public facing roles require a proportionate level of English language proficiency for written and verbal communication and the Trust is required to verify results of certain English language competency tests relied upon. When the fluency duty is met by the provision of a sign language interpreter, the interpreter should be registered with the National Registers of Communication Professionals working with Deaf and Deafblind People (NRCPD).
