Functional Skills Tutor

Job Title: Functional Skills Maths & English Tutor Location: South London Contract Type: Flexible, Part-Time Start Date: ASAP Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour (based on experience and qualifications) We have a student in Year 11 that has an EHCP and requires Maths and English Functional Skills tuition. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver one-to-one tuition in Functional Skills Maths and English. • Adapt teaching methods to support students with SEN needs, ensuring lessons are accessible and engaging. • Develop and implement personalised lesson plans that address individual learning gaps. • Monitor student progress and provide regular, constructive feedback to students and their families. • Create a supportive and motivating learning environment to help students build confidence in Maths and English. Requirements: • Minimum 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience in Functional Skills Maths and English. • Experience working with SEN students. • Right to work in the UK. • Must have, or be willing to undertake, an Enhanced DBS check. Desired Qualifications & Experience: • PGCE and/or QTS is highly desirable. • Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to individual learner needs.
