Job description

Fund Controller Our client, based in Newcastle upon Tyne, is a joint venture between a technology solutions business serving the banking and financial sectors and a global alternative investment fund manager. They now seek to appoint a Fund Controller to control and report the performance, portfolio valuations and Net Asset Value of investment funds. Your specific responsibilities as Fund Controller will include: • Delivering accurate reporting of the Fund’s performance to stakeholders, splitting by asset class, strategy, time buckets, risk attribution • Ensuring the trading portfolio’s accurate valuation by performing ongoing assessments against independent pricing data sources • Providing reporting of the Fund’s Net Asset Value to internal investors and regulators As Fund Controller you will need: • A 2:1 degree from a top 25 UK university • 1- years of experience working in a Product Control or Valuations role in an investment bank or buy-side firm • Or, 1-3 years’ experience from an accountancy firm in an audit team • Some knowledge of financial products such as Bond, Equities, and simple derivatives, is favoured • Familiarity with SQL, Python and Tableau is advantageous Rewards & benefits: • Salary: £85k • 25 days holiday + stats • 10% target bonus • Private healthcare • Pension • Prestigious city centre offices Please note: High levels of interest mean that we will only contact you if your application is shortlisted and this will happen within five working days.
