Key Responsibilities
As a Gardener, you'll help maintain exceptional outdoor spaces by:
• Carrying out seasonal maintenance across the hotel's landscaped grounds, including the terraced area, rose garden, sunken garden, cottage garden, croquet lawn, lake, woodland, lawns and wildflower meadow
• Maintaining the polo centre and staff accommodation grounds
• Completing grass cutting and turf maintenance
• Carrying out hedge cutting and general grounds upkeep
• Operating garden machinery including mowers, strimmers, hedge trimmers and leaf blowers
• Taking ownership of designated areas within the estate
• Following all health and safety, fire and security procedures
• Keeping required certificates up to date
• Supporting additional duties when required to meet operational needs
What we're looking for
The ideal Gardener will have:
• Previous experience in horticulture or professional grounds maintenance
• Practical experience using a range of garden machinery safely
• A passion for maintaining high-quality outdoor environments
• A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail
• The flexibility to adjust working hours when required to support the business
• A good understanding of health and safety practices
