Gas Supervisor / Technical Team Leader - CardiffAre you an experienced Gas Engineer ready to take the next step into leadership, or an established Gas Supervisor looking for a new challenge?At Liberty, we're looking for a proactive and people-focused Gas Supervisor to lead a high-performing team of engineers, drive operational excellence, and deliver outstanding customer service across our contracts. The RoleAs a Gas Supervisor / Technical Team Leader, you'll be responsible for leading and supporting a team of Gas Engineers across the Cardiff area. You'll ensure work is delivered safely, compliantly and efficiently while maintaining excellent levels of customer and client satisfaction. Managing a team of engineers, you'll play a key role in driving engagement, performance and continuous improvement across your area. Key Responsibilities • Lead, coach and support a team of Gas Engineers, driving a culture of engagement, accountability and high performance • Deliver regular toolbox talks and promote best practice across health, safety and compliance • Ensure gas repairs, maintenance, installations and planned works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standards • Drive productivity, quality and first-time-fix performance • Conduct regular field visits to support engineers and monitor service delivery • Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and engagement • Monitor compliance requirements, inspections, audits and surveys, ensuring high levels of accuracy and quality • Support operational planning and resource allocation across your area to maximise efficiency and minimise travel time • Manage escalations and resolve operational issues in a timely and professional manner • Ensure contract KPIs, business objectives and customer satisfaction targets are achieved • Complete regular inspections of vehicles, van stock, PPE and equipment • Deputise for senior operational management when required • Identify opportunities for service improvements and continuous improvement initiatives This is a predominantly field-based leadership role, combining technical expertise, people management, operational delivery and client engagement. What We Need From YouEssential • ACS qualifications: • CCN1 • HTR1 • CKR1 • CENWAT • Full UK Driving Licence • Strong technical knowledge of domestic gas servicing, maintenance and repairs • Good IT skills and confidence using business systems • Strong understanding of health & safety and compliance requirements • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills • A proactive, organised and solution-focused approach ExperienceWe welcome applications from: • Experienced Gas Supervisors or Technical Team Leaders, or • Experienced Gas Engineers with a minimum of 5 years' industry experience who are looking to progress into a leadership role Previous experience managing engineers, technical teams, repairs and maintenance operations or social housing contracts would be advantageous.
