General Practice Accountant

Practice Accountant, Outskirts of Liverpool City Centre, Free Parking, Flexi-time, Hybrid (3 office, 2 home) Practice Accountant - Description: A progressive firm of chartered accountants based on the outskirts of Liverpool, is looking to recruit a ACA / ACCA Finalist or Recently qualified Practice Accountant to join their professional and friendly team. The firm offers a flexible, family friendly, hybrid working environment and is run by experienced, down-to-earth directors with a modern approach. Reporting to the Directors, the Practice Accountant will build up to taking responsibility for a portfolio of individuals, owner managed businesses and entrepreneurial clients with turnovers up to the audit threshold. Ideally, within 6-12 months, you will develop into being the first point of contact for the clients, dealing with day-to-day queries alongside ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and to deadline. Practice Accountant - Responsibilities include: • Prepare year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies mainly FRS 105, some FRS 102 1A • Produce corporation tax computations and returns, plus personal tax work for business owners/directors • Support clients with management accounts, VAT returns and general SME advice • Review juniors’ work depending on level and help with their development • Build long-term client relationships and become a trusted point of contact Practice Accountant - Benefits: This is a fantastic opportunity to join a firm that offers a competitive salary which is negotiable DOE, free parking, flexi-time and hybrid working. Essential Requirements: • Nearly / newly qualified ACA or ACCA, or strong QBE / AAT with solid practice experience • A strong background in accounts preparation and taxation experience, gained from general practice. • Good IT skills and knowledge of a variety of accounting packages including IRIS, Sage and Xero • Confident and professional manner • Applications from both Qualified, finalist and QBE practice accountants will be considered.
