Job description

The successful candidate will provide a comprehensive range of nursing services to our patient population and play a key role in the ongoing delivery of chronic disease management and preventative healthcare. The role will include, but is not limited to: • Chronic disease management, including respiratory conditions (asthma and COPD), diabetes, cardiovascular disease and hypertension. • Respiratory reviews, inhaler technique assessments and patient education. • Cervical cytology (desirable). • Contraception/HRT reviews. • Immunisations and vaccinations. • Wound care and dressings. • General Practice Nurse treatment room duties. • Ear irrigation (where trained). • Venepuncture and ECGs. • Spirometry (If trained) Lifestyle advice and health promotion. • Infection prevention and control responsibilities. • Participation in quality improvement initiatives and QOF achievement.
