Job TitleSalaried General Practitioner Accountable toGP Partners, Practice Manager Job SummaryThe post-holder will provide high-quality, patient-centred General Medical Services in accordance with the GMS contract. The role includes the management of acute and chronic conditions, preventative care, and health promotion, while working as part of a multidisciplinary primary care team to deliver safe and effective services to the practice population. Main Duties of the Post • Provide General Medical Services in line with the GMS contract • Undertake face-to-face, telephone, and online consultations • Diagnose and manage patients presenting with acute and chronic conditions • Prescribe safely and appropriately in accordance with local and national guidelines • Process and action laboratory results, correspondence, and referrals • Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records • Participate in practice meetings, audits, clinical governance, and quality improvement activities • Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to support service delivery • Contribute to the teaching, training, and supervision of GP registrars, students, and other learners where appropriate Professional Responsibilities • Maintain full registration with the General Medical Council, GMC, and inclusion on the GP Performers List • Hold appropriate professional indemnity cover, in line with NHS Wales requirements • Work in accordance with the principles of Good Medical Practice • Participate in annual appraisal and revalidation • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, infection control, and health and safety procedures Working RelationshipsThe post-holder will work closely with GP Partners, salaried GPs, nursing staff, allied health professionals, and administrative teams to support the delivery of high-quality patient care.
