The RoleThe successful candidate will deliver the full range of general practice services, providing high-quality primary medical care through a balanced mix of face-to-face and telephone consultations within a practice-based model. The role includes participation in the Duty GP rota for one day per week, delivered within a structured and supportive framework. Key Responsibilities Providing comprehensive general medical care including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up Managing acute presentations, same-day demand, and undifferentiated illness Delivering ongoing care for patients with long-term conditions and complex health needs Undertaking Duty GP responsibilities one day per week with appropriate support Reviewing and actioning investigations, correspondence, and clinical tasks Prescribing safely and effectively in line with national and local guidance Contributing to safeguarding, quality improvement, and multidisciplinary teamwork Maintaining accurate, timely, and high-quality clinical records Ways of Working (BMA / LMC Aligned) Clearly defined contracted hours and responsibilities Open and transparent workload planning Strong administrative and clinical support Professional autonomy within a robust governance framework Safe, well-designed systems of working A collegiate, respectful, and supportive working environment Digital Systems and InnovationGlenlyn embraces innovation that enhances clinical care and supports GP wellbeing.
