Job description

The locum GP will provide high-quality medical care to our patient population, in line with the GMS contract, practice policies, and clinical guidelines. Responsibilities include: • Working as agreed within the practice timetable. • Managing long-term conditions and providing safe, effective care. • Prescribing in line with local and national guidance. • Completing administrative tasks promptly, including referrals, repeat prescriptions, and other associated duties. • Participating in telephone triage and duty doctor rotas. • Maintaining accurate, up-to-date clinical records. • Collaborating with the team and sharing the practice workload. • Supporting QOF requirements and recording information accurately. • Offering health promotion advice where appropriate. • Attending and contributing to practice meetings, clinical governance, audits, and training. • Teaching and supervising medical students and GP registrars. • Participating in appraisal, revalidation, and continuous professional development. • Upholding practice protocols, policies, and strategic aims, while fostering a culture of teamwork and professional growth.
