Job description

The Post Holder will ensure that the highest levels of clinical governance are visible and operational within their practice and contribute to the review and development of the services prescribing protocols and to areas of potential research and evaluation. The Post Holder will be expected to maintain an up to date awareness of the infection control precautions relevant to the area of work and implement these in practice. As a minimum, this must include hand hygiene, the use of personal protective equipment, the use and disposal of sharps and communicating the importance to patients, nurses and other health care staff you are working with. • To assume a key Prescriber role, including allocation of highly complex patients, with responsibility for the delivery of medical aspects of the care plan. • Attend clinical review meetings where appropriate. To use electronic records to maintain a proper and accurate record of all client contacts and contacts with concerned others and involved agencies. • To ensure Continuous professional development in regard to clinical practice. • To provide medical advice and guidance on complex cases to staff within Inclusion and attend prescribing forums. • Attending MPFT and Inclusion meetings where appropriate. To contribute to the development of a culture of quality improvement. • Taking part in reviewing referrals. • To be involved in Inclusion research and innovation opportunities.
