Job description

An international insurance organisation is seeking an experienced claims professional to lead its global Recoveries & Salvage function. This is a newly created strategic role with responsibility for shaping the recoveries strategy, improving operational performance, and driving consistent practices across multiple regions. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will oversee global recoveries and salvage operations, develop governance frameworks, manage key third-party relationships, and identify opportunities to increase recoveries while reducing claims leakage. The role will also focus on modernising processes through technology, automation, AI and data analytics, ensuring the function is scalable and aligned with the wider business strategy. The successful candidate will bring significant experience in recoveries, subrogation and salvage within the insurance market, together with a strong understanding of commercial claims and global regulatory environments. You'll be a proven leader with excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing at executive level, delivering change, and driving operational excellence across an international business. Experience implementing technology-led transformation initiatives and leading high-performing teams will be highly advantageous.
