GSE Mechanic / HGV Mechanic Heathrow Airport£45,000 - £51,047 + Overtime + Excellent Benefits Permanent | Full-Time 4 on / 4 off and Monday-Friday Shift Patterns Available Ground Force Talent, part of the CWS Group, is currently recruiting multiple GSE Mechanics and HGV Mechanics for a leading airport ground support operation at Heathrow Airport. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established engineering team responsible for maintaining the specialist vehicles and equipment that support aircraft operations at one of the world's busiest airports. We are keen to speak with experienced GSE Engineers, HGV Technicians, Plant Fitters, PSV Technicians, Agricultural Engineers and Commercial Vehicle Technicians looking for a stable, long-term opportunity within the aviation sector. The RoleYou will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, inspection and repair of a wide range of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and specialist airport vehicles, ensuring equipment remains operational, compliant and available to support airport operations. Equipment may include: • Aircraft pushback tractors and tugs • Baggage handling equipment • Passenger steps • Ground power units • Airside support vehicles • Specialist airport machinery and equipment Key responsibilities include: • Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) • Mechanical and electrical fault diagnosis • Repairs, servicing and inspections • Breakdown response and fault finding • Completion of maintenance records and documentation • Ensuring all work is carried out in line with company, safety and airport regulations About YouWe are looking for individuals with experience in one or more of the following areas: • Ground Support Equipment (GSE) • HGVs and commercial vehicles • Plant machinery • PSV vehicles • Agricultural equipment • Heavy mechanical equipment You will ideally possess: • Strong mechanical fault-finding abilities • Electrical diagnostic experience • A proactive and safety-focused approach • The ability to work independently and within a team environment Desirable • Previous airport or GSE experience • Experience working in a fast-paced operational environment RequirementsDue to the nature of the airport environment, applicants must be able to: • Obtain and maintain an airside security pass • Provide a full 5-year employment history • Pass a criminal record check • Hold a full UK driving licence What's on Offer? • £45,000 - £51,047 basic salary • Overtime paid at enhanced rates • Choice of 4 on / 4 off or Monday-Friday shifts • Company pension scheme • Private medical insurance • Employee discount programme • Free on-site parking • Long-term career progression opportunities • Modern workshop facilities • Opportunity to work within the aviation sector at Heathrow Airport If you're an experienced mechanic looking to move into aviation or already have experience working on airport equipment, we'd like to hear from you.
