Job Title: Hair & Beauty Lecturer Salary: Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience and qualifications) Start Date: Ongoing opportunities available About the Role We are currently recruiting for experienced and enthusiastic Hair & Beauty Lecturers to join a range of well-established Further Education providers. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and effective lessons, supporting students in developing their practical skills, technical knowledge, and understanding of professional industry standards while helping them achieve their academic and career goals. Key Responsibilities • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Hair & Beauty lessons. • Teach Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy, and related programmes to learners across a range of levels and abilities. • Assess, monitor, and track student progress. • Provide constructive feedback and academic support to learners. • Maintain accurate records in line with college requirements. • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment. • Support learners in developing practical salon skills and professional working practices. • Ensure all practical activities are delivered in accordance with health, safety, and industry regulations. • Contribute to learner achievement, retention, and progression. Requirements • Relevant degree or qualification in Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy, Aesthetics, or a related subject. • Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, or equivalent). • Experience teaching Hair & Beauty within Further Education, Higher Education, Secondary Education, or Adult Learning environments. • Strong classroom management and communication skills. • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one. • Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities. • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Hair & Beauty education. • Industry experience within a salon, spa, beauty clinic, or related setting is desirable.
