Your new company Hours: 4 on 4 off shift pattern - 2 days, 2 nights Shifts: 7am-7pm / 7pm-7am Contract: Temporary Hays Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance person / Maintenance Operative to join a busy facilities team on a large, high-profile site. This position would suit someone with a strong background in general building maintenance, maintenance person works, painting and decorating, basic repairs, or facilities maintenance who is looking for a long-term opportunity with weekly pay. As a Maintenance person, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of planned and reactive maintenance tasks across the facility, helping to ensure the site remains safe, compliant, and well-maintained at all times. Your new role • Carrying out general maintenance person and fabric maintenance works • Completing basic repairs including doors, locks, hinges, fixtures, fittings, and general building fabric • Painting and decorating work to maintain site standards • Responding to reactive maintenance requests across the facility • Supporting maintenance and facilities teams with day-to-day site upkeep • Undertaking routine inspections and statutory monitoring checks • Recording maintenance activities accurately using site systems and shift logs • Taking utility meter readings where required • General cleaning, housekeeping, and ensuring plant areas are kept tidy • Identifying defects and reporting issues before they become larger problems • Working safely and following all Health & Safety procedures at all times What you'll need to succeed • Previous experience as a Maintenance person, Maintenance Operative, Fabric Technician, Caretaker, Multi-Skilled Operative, or General Builder • Experience carrying out general repairs and planned maintenance works • Basic painting and decorating experience • Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures What you'll get in return Long-term temporary contract Weekly pay Opportunity to work on a large and well-established site Varied maintenance person and maintenance duties What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
