Role OverviewThe Head Housekeeper is responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the housekeeping department. This includes managing a team, ensuring quality and safety standards, delivering training, and achieving performance and budget targets. Key Responsibilities • Lead, manage, and inspire the housekeeping team to meet high service standards. • Build and maintain strong working relationships with hotel management and staff. • Conduct regular room and floor inspections to ensure consistent quality. • Monitor site budgets and contribute to cost efficiency. • Report weekly performance updates to the Operations Manager. • Oversee recruitment, training, and development of the on-site team. • Ensure team members are trained, productive, and supported through coaching and mentoring. • Maintain full compliance with health, safety, and company policies. • Promote professionalism, reliability, and a positive team culture. Candidate Profile • Proven experience as a Head Housekeeper or similar supervisory role in hospitality. • Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing and motivating teams. • Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal. • Confident using IT systems for scheduling, reporting, and team management. • Skilled in delivering training and maintaining health and safety standards. • Flexible, proactive, and approachable, with a professional attitude and a sense of humour.
