Head of Enforcement Location: Liverpool Salary: Competitive Contract Type: Permanent Working Pattern: Full Time Lead a High-Performing Enforcement Function A leading UK law firm, recognised by the major legal directories for its expertise and client service, is seeking an experienced Head of Enforcement to lead and develop its Enforcement and Recovery team. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior litigation or enforcement professional to take ownership of a key business function, driving strategy, operational performance, and client outcomes within a growing and ambitious firm. The Role As Head of Enforcement, you will oversee the firm's enforcement and recovery operations, managing everything from judgment enforcement and debt recovery strategies through to asset tracing and complex recovery proceedings. You will be responsible for leading and developing a team of legal professionals while ensuring best-in-class client service, regulatory compliance, and commercial success. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Strategy • Develop and implement the firm's enforcement strategy in line with business objectives. • Lead, mentor, and develop lawyers, paralegals, and support staff. • Monitor team performance against recovery, efficiency, and service targets. • Drive innovation through process improvements and technology adoption. Enforcement & Recovery • Oversee all enforcement actions, including: • Part 8 procedures • Writs and Warrants of Control • Charging Orders • Attachment of Earnings Orders • Third-Party Debt Orders • Bankruptcy and Winding-Up proceedings. • Advise on complex and high-value enforcement matters. • Supervise asset tracing and recovery initiatives. • Ensure matters progress efficiently from judgment through to recovery. • Monitor compliance with CPR, SRA, and other relevant regulatory requirements. Essential • Qualified Solicitor or equivalent legal qualification. • Significant experience in litigation and enforcement. • Strong technical knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules and enforcement mechanisms. • Proven leadership and team management experience. • Commercial awareness with a client-focused approach. • Experience managing high-volume and high-value enforcement portfolios. Desirable • Experience using Proclaim. • Background in debt recovery, insolvency, or asset recovery. • Familiarity with enforcement technology platforms and data analytics. • Existing client relationships or a strong business development track record.
