Head of Family Law | Family Solicitor / Head of Department Working Hours: Full Autonomy, Flexible Hybrid Working Salary: Excellent Salary + Tailored Benefits Package Head of Family Law Opportunity – Taking over from retiring Partner An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Family Solicitor or Head of Family Law with a full breadth of experience to lead an established Family department within a highly respected, long-standing law firm with an exceptional reputation across Greater Manchester. The firm places complete trust in its senior lawyers, with no mandated office attendance. You're free to manage your diary as you see fit, attending the office primarily when meeting clients. Whether you're already a Head of Department or an ambitious Senior Family Solicitor ready to step into a leadership role, this position offers the platform to make a real impact. The Role: You'll oversee a varied and rewarding caseload covering the full spectrum of Family Law matters while helping to drive the continued growth and success of the department. Your caseload will include: • Divorce matters • Children disputes • Public law children matters • Care proceedings • Legal Aid work • Domestic abuse and injunction applications • Child arrangements and parental responsibility matters • General family law advisory work The firm is looking for someone with broad technical expertise who is confident handling both privately funded and Legal Aid matters, with particular strength in childcare and children law.
