Head of Finance

Client Details Our client is a leading UK infrastructure and logistics organisation operating a significant multi-site operation across the South East. Following continued investment and growth, they are seeking an experienced Head of Finance to join the senior leadership team and play a key role in supporting operational performance, financial governance and strategic decision-making. This opportunity offers the chance to work closely with an experienced Finance Director, lead a high-calibre finance team and contribute to the continued development of a large operational business with ambitious growth plans. Description Reporting to the Finance Director, the Head of Finance will lead a team of Finance Managers and play a key role in supporting both the finance function and wider operational leadership team. Key responsibilities will include: • Leading, developing and mentoring a team of Finance Managers and finance professionals • Driving budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes across a multi-site operation • Delivering insightful management reporting and financial analysis to support decision-making • Partnering with operational stakeholders to improve financial performance, cost efficiency and profitability • Supporting capital investment planning and business case development • Strengthening governance, controls and risk management frameworks • Managing cash flow, working capital and balance sheet performance • Enhancing reporting capability and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement • Supporting audit processes and ensuring a strong financial control environment • Acting as deputy to the Finance Director when required Profile We are seeking a qualified finance professional with strong leadership capabilities and experience operating within a complex multi-site environment to take on this Head of Finance position. You will likely possess: • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification • Significant post-qualified finance experience • Previous experience leading finance teams within a multi-site or operationally focused business • Strong budgeting, forecasting and management reporting experience • Experience of improving processes, systems and financial performance • A solid understanding of governance, controls, audit and risk management • Cash flow, working capital and balance sheet management experience • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills • The ability to influence and challenge constructively across operational and leadership teams • Experience gained within capital intensive sectors such as logistics, infrastructure, manufacturing, industrial services, waste, engineering, supply chain or similarly operational businesses would be advantageous Job Offer • Salary up to c£80,000 • Car Allowance • Performance-related Bonus • Private Medical Insurance • Matched Pension Scheme • 27 Days Holiday plus Bank Holidays • Flexible Benefits Package • Significant exposure to senior leadership and strategic decision-making • Clear opportunity to develop towards a broader finance leadership role This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Head of Finance, Financial Controller, Regional Finance Manager or Senior Finance Manager looking to take ownership of a significant operational finance function and progress their career within a growing infrastructure and logistics business.
