Job description

• To work closely with all Heads of Hospice Departments to support them in delivering safe outstanding quality care for our community • To be responsible for the safe running of hospice services and cover in the absence of other Hospice Management Team members. • To be responsible for workforce management. • To lead on all clinical regulatory requirements in conjunction with the Chief Nursing Officer • To advise and support staff, demonstrate a high level of competence in the specialty and broaden your remit in line with current evidence-based knowledge and training. • To ensure quality assurance within all clinical services. • To promote and maintain high quality patient care at all times. • To ensure all safety aspects of patient care is maintained. • To take overall responsibility for all clinical services. • To ensure all staff work in accordance with HJE policies, procedures and protocols. • To ensure standards are in place to reflect quality care. • To ensure patient safety is key in all aspects of service delivery and is in line with PSIRF. • To act as deputy safeguarding lead to ensure robust protection for patients, families, staff and volunteers ensuring clear escalation routes for concerns.
