The group encompasses leading brands across the steel, light & environmental and timber sectors and they are renowned for pioneering, innovating, and a dedicated attitude of ‘going through the wall’ for their customers. The group continues to grow at pace from their Derbyshire base, and they are now looking for an experienced and commercially astute Head of Technical & Design(Cladding) to lead the technical and design function within a growing façade business As the Head of Technical & Design(Cladding) you will provide technical leadership across the full project lifecycle, from design development and engineering coordination, through to manufacturing, logistics, installation and project delivery. On a daily basis the Head of Technical & Design(Cladding) will be responsible for: • Lead all technical and design activities across façade, cladding, and panelised construction projects. • Provide expert guidance on façade engineering, structural design principles, and regulatory compliance. • Oversee the development and review of technical drawings, calculations, specifications, and design documentation. • Ensure designs are optimised for manufacture, transportation, installation, and long-term performance. • Manage technical risk and resolve complex design and engineering challenges. As the Head of Technical & Design(Cladding) you will approve designs relating to: • Structural loading requirements • Wind loading calculations • Bolt connections and fixing systems • Bracket details and support structures • Waterproofing and weatherproofing details If you are an experienced Head of Technical & Design(Cladding) who has worked in high-rise façade systems, brick-slip wall cladding, mega panel solutions, and multi-storey construction projects this could be ideal for you.
