Work closely with Organisational Development Lead to align Health & Well-being Initiatives to organisational / executive expectations
Follow national, system and trust wide guidance and governance when contributing to formulating strategic wellbeing plans, ensuring all Health & Well-being initiatives align with Care Quality Commission (CQC), Health & Well-being Boards, NHS assurance frameworks and focus on reducing inequalities of staff members
Work closely with other teams such as psychology, Equality Diversity and Inclusion, Freedom To Speak Up and People and Workforce Operations to understand organisational need for health and wellbeing support
Lead, coordinate and operate an on-site Health & Well-being Hub to maintain a consistent and where appropriate, immediate, physical presence for Health & Well-being within the Trust
Utilise National staff survey and other data to identify hot spot areas needing additional support across the organisation, liaising with leadership teams to understand the need and offer appropriate support
Contribute to the production of Board/Executive committee papers on staff health and wellbeing
Provide support to senior leaders to embed staff survey action plans into teams and services, in line with people plan and people promise initiatives
Manage, support and develop a cohort of Health & Well-being Champions, ensuring up to date information is shared and a robust network of Champions exists to accommodate organisational support needs
Research, review, design, develop and deliver robust, evidence based Health & Well-being training packages for all levels of leadership, in line with NHS Management & Leadership framework
Work with a range of stakeholders to develop a programme of evaluation demonstrating impact and improvement across key performance indicators of staff wellbeing, including the National NHS Staff Survey and the Model Hospital.
Develop administration processes and procedures to regularly monitor, review and evaluate the impact of all Health & Well-being initiatives with a view of continuous improvement, utilising available technology
Set up and maintain databases of Health & Well-being activity to enable accurate analysis of staff wide data.
Extract data from databases to create comprehensive reports for Organisational lead to present back to executive boards
Lead on the organisation and development of health and wellbeing events, both online and face to face
Develop and deliver an annual plan of staff wellbeing activity, working closely with communications, the staff wellbeing group and relevant stakeholders across the Trust
Work closely with communications team to design, develop and implement a comprehensive Trust wide communications plan, utilising various methods in order to reach all staff groups
Lead organisational wide monthly Health & Well-being group to widen reach of Health & Well-being offers and generate support from staff
Maintain a consistent presence within staff networks to build relationships and understand where support is needed from specific staff groups perspective
Widen the profile of Health & Well-being officers / champions / offers across the organisation by having consistent physical presence and visibility across all sites, in the form of walkabouts and planned activities to promote all Health & Well-being services
Regularly attend Trust wide meetings such as staff wide multi-disciplinary support team / retention group to build relationships and regularly promote Health & Well-being services / initiatives to meet the needs of the organisation and staff
Build and maintain positive working relationship with other Health & Wellbeing Advisors in the service with a view of aligning Health and Wellbeing offers across both organisations
Actively contribute to the Organisational Development strategy from a Health & Wellbeing perspective
To support relevant individuals and teams in using and allocating any charitable funds that support staff health and wellbeing including where appropriate donations of items and resources.
Be an active member of any local, regional and national staff health and wellbeing networks sharing best practice, new ideas and development into the Trust as appropriate
Be a role model for effective workplace health and wellbeing promoting cultures which support this.
Work alongside the divisions and corporate departments to support the development of local wellbeing initiatives and communicating Trust-wide resources/programmes
Staying up to date with best practice across the NHS and other sectors to influence Health & Wellbeing priorities and activities
