Job description

As a Health & Safety Advisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations within the EFW sector. This permanent position is based in Lanark and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a safe and efficient working environment. Description • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures in line with current legislation. • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments across the site. • Provide guidance and training to staff on health and safety practices. • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards. • Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety within the organisation. • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections and incident reports. • Stay updated on changes in health and safety legislation and industry best practices. Profile A successful Health & Safety Advisor should have: • A recognised qualification in health and safety, such as NEBOSH or equivalent. • Experience within the industrial/manufacturing sector, particularly in health and safety roles. • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements. • Excellent communication and training skills to engage with teams effectively. • Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and safety audits. • A proactive approach to problem-solving and safety improvements.
