Do you have experience in driving Health & Safety efficiencies within a workplace? Do you have experience in promoting good mental health in a workplace? We have a new position as a Health & Safety Advisor, As part of our Health & Safety Team, you'll work alongside customer-facing services to create safer environments for both our customers and colleagues. Providing expert guidance and practical support, you'll help teams identify and manage risks, investigate incidents, improve performance and maintain the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing. You'll also play an important role in promoting positive mental health and employee wellbeing, supporting managers and colleagues through wellbeing initiatives, stress management and challenging situations when additional support is needed. Where I’d work: This role is based within our communities within Lincolnshire. You’ll have the autonomy to manage your own diary and the flexibility to work from locations that best support the delivery of your projects across Lincolnshire. This could be at our main offices in Grimsby or Boston, our various community hubs, at home, local coffee shops, or wherever works best for you. You’ll be able to claim back mileage expenses when travelling around our communities. We want someone who: - Builds trust through openness and accountability - Treats every customer with dignity and respect - Works collaboratively with colleagues and partners - Shows genuine empathy and understands different perspectives It would be great if you also bring: • NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health Safety (level 3) • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail • Experience in Health and Safety legislation, regulations, obligations, and safe working practices. • Experience carrying out incident investigations and root cause analysis. • Experience undertaking workplace inspections and audits. • Experience of supporting employee wellbeing initiatives, promoting positive mental health and working alongside Mental Health First Aiders or wellbeing champions. • Good ICT skills with knowledge and experience of Health and Safety IT systems. • Knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and best practice. • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle Even better if you bring: • NEBOSH Diploma or working towards. • Mental Health First Aider qualification or experience of supporting a Mental Health First Aider network and workplace wellbeing initiatives • Ability to build effective working relationships with operational managers. • Knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 and their application within a housing environment. • Experience of developing and delivering Health & Safety training, toolbox talks and awareness campaigns. • Experience of working within housing, local government or another customer-facing operational environment. • Experience of undertaking estate, neighbourhood or community-based inspections and audits.
